The Walking Dead officially renewed for Season 10, when will the end of the series?

Some time after an unofficial announcement that’s it, we can officially say that The Walking Dead will be back for a season 10 . And to mark the blow just days away from the resumption of season 9, AMC has even unveiled a mini-teaser for the next season which, as usual, will be broadcast in October on AMC and OCS in France. As every year with the announcement of a renewal, we can wonder until when the series of zombies will be broadcast. Obviously the fall of audiences does nothing – and for good reason since The Walking Dead remains a mastodon of the small screen despite this.

With many comics signed by Robert Kirkman to adapt, the series could continue for many seasons. On the production side at AMC, various predictions have already been made, some announcing for example fifteen seasons . And with Scott Gimple at the helm of the franchise, we already know that the end of the series will not mark anyway the end of the universe of zombies, which will already expand to 3 films centered around Rick in addition to the spin off. Since at AMC the desire to continue is clearly still there, it is therefore on the side of the actors and viewers that things could be played out.

Andrew Lincoln was the first big name to leave the ship and it may be that others are following soon. Yet we know that Norman Reedus (Daryl) and Melissa McBride (Carol) have already signed for another 3 years while Danai Gurira’s contract is in negotiations, so The Walking Dead still has at least a few seasons ahead of it. Despite a successful start thanks to Angela Kang, we still hope that the writers will quickly think to close the series that will never equal anyway its first seasons. Better to finish in beauty and voluntarily than for lack of popularity and audience.
