The season 2 of American Gods started last week but the series has already been renewed for a third season and it’s pretty amazing! As indicated by Variety , American Gods will come back for new adventures but with yet another showrunner to the key! This time it’s Charles Eglee , known for his work on The Walking Dead and Dexter who will be both showrunner and executive producer of American Gods season 3. In just three seasons, the series has seen four different showrunners, it’s not nothing … After Bryan Fuller and Michael Green co-directed the first year of the series, Jesse Alexander has resumed their role for the second season . Neil Gaiman, the author of the novel on which American Gods is based , has also praised this new show runner which should hold many beautiful surprises!
Neil Gaiman told Variety that he had already started working on American Gods season 3 with the new show runner, Charles Eglee . He explained : “I am delighted that American Gods has been renewed for a third season and even more excited to be working on it with Chic Eglee. Chic is the best partner in crime. We have been working for weeks on the form of the season and I am delighted that he carries the torch of the American gods in glory. Thanks to Fremantle, Starz and Amazon for trusting the series, to Bryan, Michael and Jesse for bringing it so far, to all the actors and the technical team, and especially to the viewers. It is their love of the characters that brought us to this point and will take us to the next chapter . “. The American Gods fans are so ecstatic after this good news.
