Lucifer season 5: Lucifer in hell, what does this mean for the show?

Lucifer was not able to stop the prophecy announced by Father Kinley. The evil was released on Earth when the demons decided to leave hell after long years of absence of their king. So the devil had no choice but to leave Los Angeles to return to his kingdom to keep his followers under control. But what will happen now that Tom Ellis’s character has returned to hell? Will Chlo√© try to join him in the possible season 5 of Lucifer? One thing is certain, thanks to this storyline of the devil’s return to his kingdom, the next episodes have a lot of potential to take the series to a new level of emotional intensity. The series should explore the consequences of the separation of its two main characters, Lucifer and detective Chloe Decker.

The devil’s life in his realm will probably be a big chunk of next episodes as well as all the repercussions of that. The return of Lucifer to hell could be dangerous for the devil himself. In season 2 of the show, Chloe’s partner was crossing his own realm but was almost trapped in an infernal spiral of punishment. This proves that Lucifer is not safe from the evil of the kingdom over which he reigns. The hero of the show will spend a lot of time alone, without his family. Thus, we could witness the return of the old Lucifer, particularly jaded previous seasons who had closed his heart so he could better wear his crown. This could further complicate the relationship between the devil and the detective.
